What's Happenin' with Kathryn

Kathryn Raaker, with her usual zest for life, has been and will be all over in recent and coming days, spreading her contagious enthusiasm and energy for various community projects.

+At the Riverfest over the Labor Day holiday, Kathryn was found tirelessly meeting and greeting celebrants with company sponsor Purple for her "Let's Talk" radio show.

+On the weekend of Sept. 5-7, Kathryn will be appearing at the Harvest Home Parade with Class X radio.

+Yet again showing her great heart for children's issues, Kathryn will be interviewing, on her Born B4 64 television show next week, the founders of World of Children, Harry and Kay Leibowitz. Kathryn said of the upcoming show, "We will be telling their beautiful love story, how they met and what their careers were prior to founding World of Children. For ten years this amazing organization has improved the lives of children around the world. We are proud, honored, and privileged to interview this lovely and loving couple."

World of Children is a change-making funding program with a global vision and mission to assist those organizations and persons on the ground who are making a positive difference in children's lives. The only organization of its kind, World of Children has recognized and provided funding and visibility for promising change-makers for children. W of C has been called "the Nobel Prize for Children." They assist those with a proven track record of success in order to make them more successful. To date, W of C has awarded more than 2 million dollars to over 70 individuals and organizations.

+In mid-September on Born B4 64, Kathryn will be interviewing the author of the best-selling The Bambino Secret, J. Anderson Cross. In a monumentally stunning work, Cross claims that Babe Ruth was the first black major league baseball player! And the show is very timely: just in time for the Sept. 21 historic last game in Yankee Stadium. You don't want to miss this show as Cross reveals Babe Ruth's biggest secret!

+As versatile in her talents as she is indefatigable in her work, Kathryn zooms off again in late September to Philly to act in an upcoming movie, playing the role of a news anchor woman who turns homicidal. The role will call for a completely out of character effort on Kathryn's part, being cast in a very sinister and antisocial role. Kathryn is wondering if she can bring off the part in this movie that explores the eternal theme of good versus evil. But it is a creative challenge and Kathryn loves big challenges!

+Continuing in the stream of new challenges, Kathryn will try her hand at being a radio disc jockey! In the upcoming months, Kathryn will lend her voice and verbal charisma to Class X Rock 88.9 FM. This fulfills a dream of Kathryn's granted by station owner and Boomer supporter Bill Fry. Class X gets one million hits per month on the Internet! Spry will be appearing soon, as well, on the Born B4 64 show.

+Because open and creative spirituality is on everyone's minds so much these days, Kathryn will be featuring as her regular "Spirituality Expert" Dennis Craft of Phoenix, Arizona. Dennis is the author of Blue Collar Gospel and the founder of The Rowan Initiative, a spiritual formation-centered ministry that stresses individual, dynamic, imaginative, and personal development of one's spirituality within the context of local and global-visioned community. The emphasis is upon taking personal initiative (TPI) to find personal, ultimate meaning in life and then, with the assistance of that personal empowerment, to be a blessing and an agent of peace, wisdom, and health in the world. Dennis has, as an area of career expertise, ministry to those with addictions.

+That about wraps up the update on What's Happenin' with Kathryn? But check back soon because, with Kathryn Raaker, anything is about to happen---and quick!
